Custard Flan in Cream Cheese
Smooth and creamy custard flan in cream cheese!
Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 6 medium eggs
- 3 tablespoon cream cheese
- 1 can (370 ml) evaporated milk
- 1 can (300 ml) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanila extract
Procedure
Preheat oven to 350 F or 177 C. (Note: You may also steam the flan like the traditional way).
Place white sugar in llanera over a medium heat to caramelize. Set aside.
Combine and mix well eggs, cream cheese, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla until smooth.
Pour the custard mixture in the prepared llaneras. Place them in another larger, shallow baking pan and set them in the middle shelf of the oven. Pour hot water, at least halfway up the sides of the llaneras.
Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until the top is set. Allow to cool before refrigerating for several hours or overnight. Run clean knife around the edge of the llanera before transferring on a plate, invertedly.
Serve chilled and enjoy!
