Korean Beef Barbecue
Thinly sliced/shredded beef marinaded in a flavorful sauce and pan fried to perfection!
Ingredients
- 1/2 kilo shredded beef or beef in bulgogi cut
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/4 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup green onions chopped, separate dark green parts from white and light green parts
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoon white sugar
- 2 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
- 1/4 cup garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger, minced
- dash of ground black pepper
Procedure
Mix well onion, white and light green parts of onion, soy sauce, sugar, sesame seeds, garlic, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, ginger, and black pepper in a bowl. Add shredded beef (or bulgogi cuts) in the marinade – cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
After marinading, cook and saute steak and marinade in batches in a pan over medium heat, adding in honey to caramelize the steak for about 5 minutes or until the steak is cooked.
Top it with green parts of green onions then serve!
