Sauteed Mung Bean with Pork
Team Masabaw o Team Malapot ka ba kapag munggo ang usapan? Martes palang pero Biyernes feels na sa walang kupas na Guisadong Munggo. Samahan mo pa ng oven-baked Lechon Kawali. O, ang BP at Uric, ha!
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 cup garlic2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 cup onion
- 1/4 cup ginger, julienne
- 1/2 cup ripe tomatoes
- 1 cup pork liempo
- 1 tbsp fish oil
- 1 cup Mung beans (or Munggo)
- 1 cup Malunggay leaves
- 1 cup okra
- 1 cup talong
- 2 cups water
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Procedure
Add in oil, then ginger in a pan – saute until golden brown. Add in garlic, onion and tomatoes.
Add in pork liempo, saute for 3 mins.
Add in water, season with salt, pepper, fish sauce to taste, simmer for 5-15 mins until the pork is cooked. Note: you can also use pre-cooked pork liempo (as we did).
Add in okra, simmer for 2 mins.
Add in talong, simmer for 2 mins.
Make sure flavors blend together, then add in Malunggay, simmer for 1 min.
Serve hot!
